About the Show
The legendary Durutti Column launch their new album A Paean to Wilson, their tribute to their benefactor and fan Anthony H (Tony) Wilson, who died in 2007.
Wilson founded Factory Records and The Hacienda Night Club, both long associated with the band. The Durutti Column are led by virtuoso guitarist and composer Vinny Reilly, who is joined for this rare concert by regular drummer Bruce Mitchell and bass player Keir Stewart; alongside string player John Metcalfe, trumpeter Tim Kellett and pianist Poppy Morgan.
The band will also be performing a selection of favourite tracks from the Durutti Column’s 30 year back catalogue. This is a unique one-off evening that will not be repeated.
