Leicester Square Theatre wishes to appoint a full-time Box Office Manager to provide excellent customer service and to manage the running of an efficient and welcoming Box Office.

Reporting to – Sales Manager
Hours – 40 hours per week – including regular evenings and weekends
Contract – Permanent, with a 3 months probationary period.
Salary – £35k
Location – Leicester Square Theatre, 6 Leicester Place, London WC2H 7BX.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the box office across both venues, ensuring efficient staffing, smooth operations, and high standards of customer service.
  • Manage, train, and support the box office team, including performance management, staff development, and scheduling.
  • Liaise with promoters, agents, and visiting productions regarding ticket sales, allocations, guest lists, reporting, and show on-sales.
  • Monitor ticket sales and occupancy, implementing pricing, discounting, and promotional strategies to maximise revenue.
  • Build and manage events using ticketing and website systems, ensuring all show information is accurate and delivered on schedule.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support campaigns, customer communications, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee reporting, administrative processes, access bookings, and continuous improvements to box office systems and operations.

Job Requirements

Essential:

  • Experience using ticketing systems such as Ticketsolve and working within live entertainment or events.
  • Proven experience managing, training, and motivating a team.
  • Strong organisational, administrative, communication, and IT skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise workloads, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience liaising with promoters, agents, and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the arts, theatre, or comedy sectors.
  • Experience improving operational systems and planning departmental development.
  • Understanding of personnel or staff management systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team.
