Accessibility

We offer one essential complimentary companion ticket for access bookings subject to availability. These are only available for customers who would otherwise be unable to attend. We are a small venue and these have limited availability for each performance. These are not available via our website, but can be booked either in person at our box office, by calling us on 020 7734 2222, or by emailing boxoffice@leicestersquaretheatre.com.

We only allow assistance dogs in the venue with prior arrangement.  A member of our team may be able to care for your assistance dog during the show, or they are welcome in the auditorium, as long as the correct seats are booked. Please call us on 020 7734 2222 to arrange or book, or email boxoffice@leicestersquaretheatre.com

Unfortunately, we do not currently have a working induction loop, but this is something that is being looked into.

Face masks are no longer required within the venue.

A relaxed performance is a modified show specifically for children or adults who have additional needs such as autism, sensory communication disorders or learning difficulties and would benefit from watching in a more relaxed environment. Please contact the box office for more information or to book tickets. These shows cannot be booked online.

If you would like to make an access booking, please contact our box office team on 020 7734 2222 or email boxoffice@leicestersquaretheatre.com.

Leicester Square Theatre is a listed building, located in the basement of the Notre Dame de France church on Leicester Place, and as such access is fairly limited.

There are fourteen steps down to the main foyer and then a further six steps down to the auditorium itself, which is all on one level. All staircases have a handrail. The building has been adapted where possible to allow for greater accessibility, but we do not have a wheelchair lift at the main entrance. However, we do have a separate entrance that offers a more direct route into the main auditorium and is equipped with a platform lift (please be aware the lift has a total weight limit of 300kg). Please note, due to health and safety regulations we cannot permit any customers to stand on the platform, and therefore the platform lift is only suitable for wheelchair users. To use this entrance, customers must be booked in advance with us. Wheelchair users must arrive 30 minutes before the performance begins in order to ensure there is sufficient time to get to the seats safely and comfortably.

Within the auditorium, we have two wheelchair spaces available in our Side Stalls Right; one which allows the customer to stay in their wheelchair and one which allows the customer to transfer to a theatre seat. Please note to use the theatre seat the customer must be able to walk the few steps from the bottom of the wheelchair platform lift to the seat.  We will discuss any requirements you may have or assistance you may need when you email or phone our Box Office Team to make your booking.

An accessible toilet and two bars are located within the auditorium.

The Lounge Bar is not accessible by wheelchair.

No, It is not a stepped auditorium. There is a slight slope however it is not enough to make a difference to the view.

For a standard comedy performance all seats have a clear view. For theatre shows with a set then there may be some slightly restricted view seats. These will be clearly marked on our website and are often offered at a reduced rate.

There are a number of pillars in the auditorium, however, the seating is positioned in such a way that the pillars do not block the view of the stage from any seat.

LST Priority is our membership scheme. LST Priority members can take advantage of advance alerts for popular shows, waiting list priority and exclusive member-only ticket offers. Membership is currently priced at £40 per year, paid annually.
