Dystopia 26: The Rock Opera storms into Leicester Square Theatre following a hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe run and a series of sold-out performances across Scotland. Described by critics as “part rock concert, part political cabaret,” this hugely entertaining immersive gig-theatre experience invites audiences to become “Dystopians” as they journey through the rise, collapse, and attempted salvation of a chaotic authoritarian state… of sorts.

Driven by an exceptional six-piece live band and a cast of bizarre masked characters including Trump Chicken (Bass), Pollonium Putin (Drums), and Kim Jong Elvis (Guitar) the show fuses explosive original music, razor-sharp political satire, and cinematic storytelling into what reviewers have called a “satirical triumph.” Massive animated projections and bold graphic visuals create a fully immersive world, while the audience is drawn directly into the action through the show’s infectious participative format.

Critics have praised creator and frontman Justin Skelton as a “remarkable singer, storyteller, and creative visionary,” while reviews from both the theatre and music press have highlighted the production’s originality, ambition, and cult-like energy. Following glowing international reviews at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe and a sold-out performances across Scotland, Dystopia is rapidly building a devoted following and gaining a reputation as one of the UK’s most original underground live gig theatre experiences.

Catch it now in its current, but ever-evolving incarnation before it returns to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026 for a full run.
